(Order was from May 2020) my friend put me on to these patties and so I bought them for my family and they loved them! When I used to eat them I remember it having the perfect amount of spice and flavour. Combination between runny and firm filling—it was perfect! Had their veggie patty and loved the spice in their as well. The patty crust is one of my faves for sure!
My go to patty place. Been coming here for years. I Always get the Frozen beef patty box 19/dozen so I can enjoy It at home whenever I want. Pop it in the oven at 400F for 20-25 min and it’s like being transported to Jamaica. The outside is nice and crispy and the beef filling actually has spice to it. There are also vegetable and chicken options. I don’t have pictures of a baked patty because I can’t wait to eat it each time, I always forget to snap a photo first!! I’ll try to remember next time and add it to the review.
Note: Cash only. No seats available, takeout only. Food was incredible and fairly priced, 5/5. Tried the jerk chicken and oxtail, both were absolutely amazing. Oxtail was fall off the bone. Jerk chicken was juicy and deeply flavourful - the best jerk chicken I’ve tried so far. Rice had nicely soaked up the gravy, very rich and deep flavours. Visiting however is quite inconvenient. I recommend going in the middle of the day for lunch. Have tried previously visiting closer to end of day (1 hour before closing) but they had already ran out of jerk chicken. Also, payment accepted is cash and there are no ATMs nearby.
Solid food. Oxtail dinner and a pattie with a cold Ting is all I need to be satisfied.
Up there for one of the best oxtails in the city, rice and peas is good too. Keep in mind it’s cash only though.
THE BEST oxtail with rice a peas in town, period. Their patty is also one of the best.
Really great Jamaican food. Ox tail was probably the best I've ever had, fall off the bone tender and flavorful, curry goat was also delicious, soup is excellent as well.
Good Patties are definitely a must try if you're in the area. The service is friendly, and I purchased two patties. One had been cooked earlier, while the other was fresh out of the oven. The staff member, Patrick I believe, even provided me with an extra patty, mentioning that it's best enjoyed straight from the oven. I also ordered oxtail and jerk pork with rice and peas. The dishes were both flavorful and generously portioned. Many thanks!"
